Avant Garde Case: Gota and others appear in court

Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Nissanaka Senadhipathi and six others appeared in the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court this morning in response to notices issued by the Chief Magistrate. 

They had been noticed to appear in court today regarding a case filed by the Bribery Commission accusing them of causing an unlawful loss of Rs.11.4 billion to the Government when giving permission to Avant Garde Maritime Services (Pvt) Limited to operate a floating armory.
