The Badulla-Bibile Road has been temporarily closed for traffic after mounds of earth, and trees collapsed onto the road due to the inclement weather today (Nov 30).
The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Office in Badulla has requested drivers to use alternate routes until the road is cleared.
"Drivers can travel through Bandarawela, Ella, and Namunukula, to reach Passara (in Badulla)," DMC Badulla District Assistant Director Udaya Kumara told Times Online.
He said that Road Development Authority workers are taking steps to clear the road.
