Former Economic Development Minister BasilRajapaksa was remanded till May 5 by Kaduwela Magistrate a short while ago, police said.
He was charged for alleged misuse of Rs. 70 million Public funds when he was the minister in the previous government. Court sources said he will be admitted to the prison hospital due to his health condition and the magistrate granted permission to attend the parliament sittings next week.
