General Secretary of Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera was released on bail by Colombo Magistrate Courts today. He was arrested today following his return from Japan last night. Earlier he was summoned to the Colombo Magistrate Courts on charges of contempt of court after he participated in in a protest near the Bribery Commission. Colombo Magistrate issued a arrest warrant following his failure to appear on May 8.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
