An individual who posed as an Army Intelligence Major has been arrested in Moratuwa today (June 02).
The suspect is believed to have been involved in extremist activities in the country.
Mohamed Nisar Imran alias 'John Walk' was arrested at the Soysapura flats in Moratuwa with a mobile phone, two cameras, a drone camera, and three typical army t-shirts.
Two selfies captured by the suspect at the Shangri-La hotel and St. Anthony's church in Kotahena following the Easter Sunday attacks had also been discovered, police said.
