A Bolivian national who was arrested by Sri Lanka Customs while attempting to smuggle cocaine into the country was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Negombo High Court today (Feb 26).
A 50-year-old woman was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport on September 03, 2016 while attempting to smuggle 2.61 kilograms of cocaine into the country.
The High Court had sentenced the suspect after the woman had pleaded guilty to the charges.
