The Bribery Commission filed indictments against two persons including Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage over a misappropriation case at the Second Special High Court today (Jun 27).
Mr. Aluthgamage and former Sathosa Chairman Nalin Fernando have been accused of causing losses worth more than Rs 40 million during the presidential election in 2015.
According to the Bribery Commission, the fraud had occured while purchasing 14,000 carrom boards and 11,000 checker boards during Aluthgamage's tenure as Sports Minister.
