Bus drivers operating along Route No 138 from Homagama to Pettah have launched a strike action today (Apr 09).
The strike is being staged to protest over issues faced by drivers due to the construction of the Multimodal transport hub in Makumbura.
Further, it is reported that drivers operating along Route No 122 (Avissawella - Pettah), Route No 125 (Padukka - Pettah), and Route No 124 (Maharagama - Ihala Bope) have also joined the strike action.
