The Cabinet yesterday decided to increase Sri Lanka Transport Board and private bus fares by 6.28 per cent from July 1, 2017, local media reported.
According to reports the minimum bus fare of Rs. 9 will be increased by one rupee.The minimum bus fare will be Rs. 10 from July 1.
The National Transport Commission is to make an announcement on how bus fare revision will happen in future.
