Cabinet approval has been granted to ban the import of chainsaws following a proposal put foward by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (Jun 18).
The President had put forward the proposal in his capacity as Enviornment Minister.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
