The cabinet of ministers has granted approval for a milk powder formula to resolve issues pertaining to the cost of imported milk powder.
The proposal to introduce a new pricing formula for imported milk powder was put forward by Minister of Agriculture, P. Harrison.
A special committee which was appointed to provide recommendations to resolve these issues had devised the formula based on market prices and foreign exchange.
This pricing formula is to be implemented by the Consumer Affairs Authority.
