The Cabinet has decided to suspend the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Cooperation Agreement.
Accordingly, the Cabinet yesterday (Dec18) decided to appoint a four member committee to look into the matter.
Co- Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Bandula Gunawardana made this statement while participating at a press briefing.
The committee comprising the following has been appointed to study the agreement - Dr. Lalith Gunaruwan, Department of Economics, University of Colombo, Architect Nalaka Jayaweera, Former Secretary to the Ministry of Transport D.S. Jayaweera and President's Counsel Nihal Jayawardena.
