Cabinet proposal to be put forward to address illegal constructions in wildlife buffer zones
A Cabinet proposal is to be put forward to address the issue of illegal constructions that have come up in wildlife park buffer zones.
A proposal to this effect is to be put forward by Minister of Lands & Land Development S. M. Chandrasena.
Further, the proposal will call for a full survey of the illegal constructions in these wildlife buffer zones. Thereafter the government will look to take legal action against these constructions and inquire into how to reacquire these sections of land into the buffer zones.
