The case filed against 'Ali Roshan' and seven others over charges of elephant racketeering will be taken up on a daily basis before the High court from February 13, 2019.
The order was issued when the case was taken up before a three-member judge bench in the High Court today (Dec 05).
Samarappulige Niraj Roshan alias 'Ali Roshan' and seven others have been charged under 24 counts by the Attorney General public under the Flora and Fauna act and the public property act. The Attorney General has filed 24 cases in 24 charges including the illegal possession of four elephants and illegal conspiracies.
The suspects are alleged to have possessed four elephants without a valid license.
