The case filed against former Laksala Chairman Anil Kosawatte and four others has been set for further hearing on May 10 before the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court.
Arrest warrants were issued on the witnesses who were supposed to appear for the prosecution, since they had not turned up before courts during today's hearing.
The Bribery Commission charged the suspects over corruption for awarding the tender to construct a Laksala store within the Colombo National Museum, to a private company on October 12, 2011.
Accordingly, a case was filed against the said suspects at the Colombo Chief Magisrates court following which a hearing was held today.
During today's hearing, Chief Magistrate Ranasinghe Bandara had granted permission for Mr. Koswatte to travel overseas.
