The case filed against MP Wimal Weerawansa over the misappropriation of Rs 75 million during his tenure as Minister was postponed to March 27 by the Colombo High Court today (Jan 14).
Colombo High Court Judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi while announcing the postponement also ordered a private bank to grant the defendant's lawyers access to its computer system that generates bank statements which have been submitted as evidence in the case.
The case against MP Weerawansa was filed by the Bribery commission.
