The Catholic Bishops' Conference has called the tragic incidents which took place on Easter Sunday as a "cruel act which is extremely deplorable".
Issuing a special statement, the Bishops' Conference said that it is deeply saddened due to the tragic incidents which took place yesterday (Apr 21).
"We urge our faithful and all citizens to stay calm and act with prudence and restraint," the special statement read while calling on the government to conduct a swift inquiry to protect the citizens of this country.
Further, the Catholic Bishops Conference said that the people need to pray for the conversion of hearts of those who unleash violence on innocent people.
While expressing their condolences and prayers of yesterday's attack, the Conference called on the public to have a compassionate heart and prayerfully seek solutions in a human and just manner.
