Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga, in a letter to the General Secretary of the SLFP Prof Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, expressed her dissapointment in not being invited to attend the SLFP's convention on December 04.
Ms Kumaratunga in the letter dated December 03, drew her attention to the fact that even though the convention was due to commence the next day that she was yet to be informed officially. She added further that there has been a constant campaign by the party to get rid of her.
However, the former President went onto say that despite such treatment, owing to her committment towards the party she still supported the various behind the scenes tasks that needed to be carried out in order to hold the convention.
