Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa has said that the activities of the country's administration have faced a downfall due to the ad hoc activities of the Constitutional Council.
He made this remark while responding to a question posed by the media during a press briefing yesterday (Feb 14).
Mr. Rajapaksa added that criticising the constitutional council was not done with the motive of undermining or making defamatory remarks aganst the judiciary.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
