Following a fire that erupted at a warehouse in Pepiliyana last night, the Colombo Crime Division has launched an investigation in connection with the fire, local media reported.
A major fire swept through the warehouse at Pepiliyana in Nugegoda. Fire engines and emergency vehicles were sent to the scene by the Dehiwala Fire Brigade to put out the blaze which started in the third floor and spread to the other floors of the building.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
