The Central Bank said on Thursday that it has provided an opportunity to Sinhaputhra Finance PLC (SINF) to implement “the proposed capital augmentation plan within the timeframe stipulated”.
In a public statement, the banking regulator said that further to the “Press Notices published on 08.09.2019 and 09.09.2019 on the regulatory actions taken against this company, the Monetary Board of the CB wishes to inform the general public that in view of the proposed capital augmentation plan submitted
by the SINF and in the interest of depositors, the Monetary Board decided to provide SINF with an opportunity to implement the proposed capital augmentation plan within the timeframe stipulated”. - ENDS -
