Chairmen, Executive Directors for 10 state-run plantation bodies appointed

Minister Navin Dissanayake today (Jan 31) handed over appointments to  Chairmen and Executive Directors of 10 state-run plantation bodies.

The Minister of Plantation Industries made these appointments at a special ceremony that was held at the ministry.

Accordingly, the new appointments are as follows : 

• Chairman - Rubber Research Institute : Dr. Vishaka Sooriyabandara
• Chairman - Sri Lanka Tea Research Institue : Dr. Mohan Abeyratne
• Chairman - Sri Lanka State Plantation Corporation : Thilak Mahanama
• Chairman - Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation : D. Bandara Karunaratne 
• Deputy Chairman - Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation : M.W.M. Bandarathilaka
• Chairman - Sri Lanka Sugarcane Research Institute : K. Francis Karunaratne
• Chairman - Janatha Estate Development Board : Y.L. Kapila Yakandavala
• Chairman - Kurunegala Plantation Company Ltd. : A.M. Piyasoma Upali
• Executive Director - Kurunegala Plantation Company Ltd. : H.A.P.T.K Thusitha Dias
• Chairman - Chilaw Plantation Company Ltd. : Asiri Herath
• Executive Director - Chilaw Plantation Company Ltd. : M.K.B. Senaviratne
• Chairman - Elkaduwa Plantation Company Ltd. : Nalaka Devinda Madawala
• Operations Director - Sri Lanka Tea Board : Nimal Mithraratne
