Heads of 16 District Coordinating Committees appointed

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (Nov 26) handed over appointments to the Chairpersons of 16 District Coordinating Committees, the President's Office said.

These committees would serve as an advisory board to each district.

A Parliamentarian is appointed as the Chairman of these committees while District Secretaries would be appointed as Secretaries.

The newly appointed Chairmen are as follows ;

• Sudarshani Fernandopulle  - Gampaha
• Piyal Nishantha - Kalutara 
• Sarath Amunugama - Kandy 
• Lakshman Wasantha Perera - Matale
• Muthu Sivalingam - Nuwara Eliya 
• Chandima Weerakody - Galle 
• Niroshan Premaratne - Matara
• Angajan Ramanathan - Jaffna 
• Kader Masthan - Mannar
• S. Viyalendran - Batticaloa
• Sriyani Wijewickrama - Ampara
• Weerakumara Dissanayake - Anuradhapura
• Thenuka Vidanagamage - Badulla
• Sarathie Dushmantha - Kegalle
• Dunesh Gankanda - Ratnapura
