Parliamentarian Chamal Rajapaksa today (Oct 4) made his cash deposit to contest at the upcoming Presidential election a short while ago, an official at the Election Secretariat said.
Rajapaksa had previously obtained a letter from the Secretary General of Parliament confirming his position as Parliamentarian - a document required to contest the poll.
The Presidential election is to be held on November 16.
