Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranwaka today threatened to expose all persons who have committed fraud in the Ceylon Petroleum Co-operation (CPC). The Minster made the comments when he visited the CPC headoffice in Dematagoda. The newly appointed Minister said that he would uplift the state of the petroleum by ending bribery and fraud that took place in the CPC. He also said that the officials should be just and always work for the betterment of people. “Protests would not be tolerated. We do not like to punish people. We are only there to serve people”, he said. With the end of corruption in the affairs of petroleum related transactions, the CPC would be able to provide tax free fuel, he said.
