A chemical store has been completely destroyed in a fire that broke out in Katubedda, Moratuwa on Saturday (Apr 06).
The fire which broke out at around 9:15 pm was doused after four hours by the Fire Brigade of the Moratuwa Municipal Council.
It is reported that chemicals including Citric Acid, Acetic Acid, Chromic Acid, Aluminum Sulphate, and Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide) were inside the store at the time of the fire.
However, no casualties have been reported so far due to the incident.
