Chief Justice 43 returns to Supreme courts

Chief Justice 43 -Shirani Bandaranayake who was illegally removed from her post today returned to assume duties, legal sources said.

Attorney at law J.C.Weliamuna said that Ms Bandaranayake is due to resume duties and thereafter resign from her post.

Meanwhile protests have been continuing that Chief Justice Mohan Peiris, PC should step down.

Earlier a complaint had been lodged by Mr Peiris that a group of persons had threatened him to resign from his post.
