Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhang Dejiang has congratulated. Karu Jayasuriya on his election as Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. In his message of congratulations, Zhang Dejiang has mentioned that China and Sri Lanka are good friends and partners. A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
