Chinese national arrested over illegal possession of seahorses and sea leeches
A Chinese national (27) was arrested in Kimbulapitiya, Negombo for the illegal possession of sea leeches and seahorse, Police said.
The suspect was in possession of 5kg of dried seahorses and 33kg of dried sea leeches. Investigations revealed that the suspect had made preparations to send the contraband overseas.
The suspect is due to be presented before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court .
