The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has launched investiagtions to arrest three Sri Lankans involved in the rape of an 18 year old Korean girl in 1998.
Investigations by the Korean Police revealed that a Sri Lankan who was convicted over a child rape in 2010 was also involved in the rape of the teenage girl.
Meanwhile, a special team from Korea met with the Minister of Justice Thalatha Athukorala on May 30 to discuss about the incident.
The CID is expected to produce the details regarding the incident before the Colombo Fort Magistrate today.
