The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has submitted a report to the Attorney General (AG) on the probes into six high profile cases, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The cases identified by the AG include the murder of journalist Lasantha Wickramatunga, national ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen, 17 members of an aid group, and also the abduction of journalist Keith Noyahr and the case involving eleven youths.
AG Dappula de Livera had previously issued two reminders to Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandana Wickremeratne to expedite the probes into these cases.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
