A clash broke out between two UPFA supporters at a maternity centre in the Pitipana area in Negombo during an event held to distribute nutrition packs among pregnant mothers, local media reported. Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told media that an individual sustained injuries due to the clash and was rushed to the Negombo General Hospital. The clash broke out after former Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunaratne attended the event with a group of his supporters. Negombo Police are investigating the incident and no arrest have so far been made.
