The ninth edition of the Colombo Defence Seminar got underway in Colombo today (Aug 29) with the participation of more than 800 participants from Sri Lanka and 40 other countries.
According to the Sri Lanka Army, 27 experts, both local and foreign, would deliver lectures on topics concerning terrorism, defence and security.
The seminar will run for two days starting from today under the theme 'Evolving Military Excellence in the Contemporary Security Landscape'.
The motive of the programme is to enhance sharing, co-operation and dialogue on military and security related matters.
