Compensation for fisherman who died at sea when trawler collided with vessel
Compensation is to be given to the families of the 4 fishermen who lost their lives when their fishing trawler collided with a vessel, local media reported.
Fisheries Department Director General Prasanna Ginige was quoted as telling media Rs. 1 million will be provided as compensation for each of the deceased fishermen.
Meanwhile, investigations into the collision are underway.
