Complaint filed calling for Police to probe alleged claims of cocaine use by Ministers
The Truth Seekers Organisation (TSO) has filed a complaint at the Police Headquarters calling for a probe into claims of Cabinet Ministers who are accused of consuming cocaine.
The complainants had stated that the probe could be set in motion based on the remarks made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake claiming that some cabinet ministers were using cocaine for consumption.
In addtion, the complainants had also said that the Police could conduct the investigation as per the Dangerous Drugs Act.
At a time during which several views are being expressed against the usage of narcotics, these claims against cabinet ministers are extremely serious, convenor of the TSO Justice Premanath Dolawatte said.
