The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization is currently conducting an introductory training for on-site inspections in Dambulla.
The training began on Nov 29 will conclude on December 5, 2015. Fifty-three experts from 13 countries are learning about different aspects of CTBT on-site inspections (OSIs).
The course includes presentations on the basics of the Treaty, verification system and OSI Treaty provisions but focuses on active and hands-on activities including table–top exercises, equipment station rotations and a mini-field exercise.The President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena and Executive Secretary Lassina Zerbo are expected for the closing event.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
