The Constitutional Council will meet today at the Parliament under the patronage of the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya to select the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
During the meeting special attention will be given on the recommendations sent by the President Maithripala Sirisena on appointing the next IGP and a final decision will be reached. The decision will immediately be informed to the President by the Council.
