The appeal petition filed by convicted drug dealer 'Vele Suda' will be taken up before the Appeal Court on February 15.
This was announed by Appeal Court judges Deepali Wijesundara and Achala Vengappuli when the case was taken up before court today (Feb 07).
G.V. Samantha Kumara alias 'Vele Suda' is serving a death sentence after he was convicted over the possession of just over seven grams of heroin in 2015.
He was arrested in Mount Lavinia in 2008 and was sentenced to death on October 14, 2015
