A special Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) meeting will be held tomorrow (Dec 3) to discuss future action on the forensic audit report of the Central Bank Bond Scam.
All COPE members have been asked to attend the meeting, the Parliament’s Department of Communication said.
A forensic audit was carried out into the bond scam upon the recommendations of a Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) which probed the case.
The COPE had obtained a copy of the final report upon a request made to the Central Bank.
The bond scam had resulted in massive losses to the government due to certain irregularities alleged to have taken place in the issuance of Central Bank treasury bonds in 2015 and 2016.
The case is pending before courts.
