Another case against Ven Galagodaththe Gnanasara Thero who was granted a Presidential pardon last week, was heard before the Homagama Magistrate's Court today (May 27).
The case had been filed against the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) movement for obstructing the duties of a security officer who was on duty at the Southern Expressway in 2012.
However, Gnanasara Thero did not appear before court today. An attorney representing the accused told court that his client could not turn up for today's hearing since he had been hospitalised after feeling unwell.
Accordingly, the Magistrate ordered that the case would be postponed until October 21.
