The Colombo Chief Magistrate's court yesterday (Feb 25) instructed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to arrest any more suspects in connection to the Central Bank bond scam.
The order was issued when the case pertaining to the bond scam was taken up before courts yesterday. Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Paliasena who have been named as the chief suspects in the case were also present at the hearing.
The attorney representing the accused had claimed that several other individuals are yet to be arrested in connection to the bond scam controversy.
Accordingly, Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had instructed the CID to arrest such individuals and produce them before courts to determine the future legal course of action.
