The Colombo High Courts today issued fresh summons to President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe over an letter involving former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake during last Presidential Elections in 2015.
Mr Tissanayake who crossed over to the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa faction ahead of Presidential Polls released an letter of agreement alleged to have signed by President Sirisena and Preimer Wickremesinghe. Accordingly courts issued fresh summons to both of them to appear on June 24 after the lawyers representing them informed of non availability to be present in courts today.
