The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today (May 13) permitted the Terrorism Investigation Department (TID) to question the 10th suspect who was arrested with nine other employees of a copper factory owned by a suicide bomber involved in the Easter Sunday attacks.
Accordingly, questioning will be carried out on the suspect identified as Karuppaiah Rajendra Abdullah, tomorrow and on Wednesday, TID informed court during today's hearing.
Abdullah was one among the 10 employees who were arrested while working at a copper factory belonging to Insan Ibrahim who had carried out the suicide bombing at the Shangri-La hotel.
Nine other suspects have been released on bail. However, an investigation is currently underway to determine whether it was a blunder by the Wellampitiya Police which led to the release of the other nine employees.
