The Colombo High Court today (Feb 14) announced that the recording of statements from witnesses in the case against MP Mahindanda Aluthgamage will take place on June 13.
MP Aluthgamage has been accused of purchasing a house worth Rs 27 million down Kynsey Road using funds that he is alleged to have accquired through illegal means.
Court also announced that the cross-questioning of a witness - an officer at a commercial bank, who had appeared on behalf of the prosecutors will take place on June 13.
The Parliamentarian has been accused of violating Sections 3 and 4 of the Money Laundering Act.
