Health authorities detected 121 more COVID-19 positive cases yesterday raising the total number of persons detected from the cluster at Minuwangoda, Brandix factory to 1,307, Army Commander Lt Gen Shavendra Silva said.
He said that of those detected, 87 were from among those in quarantine while 34 were other associates of those persons linked to the Brandix factory.
He said 1036 infected were factory employees.
Meanwhile the curfew in the 18 police areas will continue for the next few days, but the possibility of lifting curfew in few selected areas is under consideration, he added.
