Four deaths were reported from Colombo city on Sunday (22) bringing the total number deceased from the virus to 87, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 said.
During the past 24 hours, 400 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19, the centre said. This increases the total number from both the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda fish market clusters to 16,639.
The four deaths reported were from Colombo 10, Colombo 15, Colombo 12 and Borella. All deceased are elderly and have been suffering from non-communicable diseases.
Meanwhile, the isolation status of Borella, Wellampitiya, Colombo Fort, Slave Island, Ja-ela and Kadawatha were lifted today (23) morning.
