A 54-year-old male from Colombo 12 and a 45-year-old male from Meegoda have died at the Infectious Diseases Hospital today (12) bringing the death toll from the virus to 48, the Director General of Health Services has confirmed.
Postmortems have revealed that one of the deceased has suffered from long-term respiratory illness and the other has died of pneumonia condition triggered by COVID-19.
