The strike carried out by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has been called off.
Unions of the CPC carried out the strike demanding the arrest of the individuals involved in the shooting incident at CEYPETCO yesterday which resulted in the death of one.
The Colombo–Kandy main road at Pahala Kadugannawa has been closed indefinitely after a deadly rockfall in the area that left six people dead and four others injured.
