The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) may see another temporary trading suspension with S&P SL20 index likely to drop by over 5 % on Thursday by 12 noon, CSE officials said.
Minutes before 12 noon, the index was at 4,82 % and standing at 2274.20. The ASPI is 3.77 % down at 5,008.39. On Tuesday the market was closed for 30 minutes after the ASPI index fell below 5 %. The CSE has fallen 1,035 points since the start of this year with Rs. 4.4 billion net selling during this period. (DEC)

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
