Curfew in all districts in the country will only be in effect from 10.00pm to 4.00am daily from tomorrow (26) until further notice, the Presidential Secretariat stated today.
Even while curfew is lifted, guidelines issued by health authorities aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 must be strictly adhered to at factories, workplaces, shops and in passenger transport, the President's Office emphasized.
These include conducting disinfection, wearing face masks, frequent washing of hands and maintaining social distancing.
Heads of public and private institutions have been given the responsibility of deciding on the number of employees they decide to call in to work as well as deciding on who they call in to work, depending on the services their respective institution provides as well as guidelines issued by health officials.
The Government asks the public to respect the guidelines issued by health authorities even when curfew is lifted.
The President's Office also stated that travel between districts will be allowed from tomorrow (26) except in the Colombo and Gampaha districts.
